Winners

Thanks to everyone who offered up the impressive titles for the See for Yourself giveaway. I love following the little mini-discussions in comments, and I really do buy a lot of the titles you all recommend; today I spotted at Dollar Tree a hardcover copy of The Magic of Grace by Charles de Lint, and picked it up because of Diane's rec.

Anyway, we revved up the magic hat tonight, and the winners are:

Erin K., who was impressed by The First Confessor by Terry Goodkind.

Shelley, who really liked Lilith Saintcrow's The Iron Wyrm Affair.

Stephanie, who loves all the books in the Iron Druid series by Kevin Hearne.

Susanne, who really liked Blood Oath and The President`s Vampire by Christopher Farnswort.

Jessica, who really liked The Summoning (Moon Wolf Saga) by Carol Wolfe.

Winners, when you have a chance send your full name and ship-to address to LynnViehl@aol.com so I can get your books out to you. My thanks to everyone for joining in.

I am pretty confident that those book recommendations help out everyone. I have picked up books on Lynn's recommendation several times in the past. I have also picked up books recommended in comments based on the theory that if the commenter loves Lynn's work, there should be something in common between their book preferences and mine. Hasn't failed me yet (Although I do read very widely....).

    Thanks Dianne

Donnas who wrote the two books you recommended?

Just to let you know Lynn, package arrived safely. Here's hoping you and your family stay safe during the rest of the storm. A quick question or two about book loops: 1. would you mind if I made some for family members? 2. How do you pick your charms for them and have you seen any difference depending on the weight of the charm?

Thank you so much for the book, I am looking forward to reading it but must do homework first...ugh!

    1. Thanks for letting me know the package arrived safely, Stephanie. As for your questions:

      1. I don't mind at all. The BookLoop design is one I've told everyone they can copy, make improvements on and even sell if they want to use it for a commercial version. Have fun with it.

      2. I look for discounted pendant pieces, mainly at JoAnn's and Michael's, and I also scrounge around flea markets and junk stores for anything that catches my eye. I find the more weight the anchor piece has the better the bookloop stays cinched, so look for pieces that are made of metal or a heavier material.
