Caution: Hot Contents

Summer Just Got Hotter

No more complaining that there's nothing good out there to read, people. Holly Lisle's newest suspense thriller, Last Girl Dancing, is hitting the shelves this weekend.

Here's the premise: Jess Brubaker dreamed of becoming a dancer, until her twin sister disappeared without a trace. The tragedy drove Jess to become a cop and find justice for other victims. To act as bait for a serial killer targeting strippers, Jess volunteers to go undercover as an exotic dancer. Her backup is an ex-Army Ranger martial arts teacher, Hank Kamian, whose grim past has also radically changed his life. Jess doesn't believe in Hank's psychic ability, but it may be the only thing that keeps her from becoming the next victim. Whatever happens, Jess can't walk away from this case. Somewhere in the shadows of the stripclub is a killer -- one who may be the only person who knows what happened to Jess's sister.

If you want a better preview, you can read the first three chapters of Last Girl Dancing by heading over at Holly's website. Holly's also put up Chapter Four for registered members of her weblog, Silent Bounce, here.

Mine's on a UPS truck somewhere. Figures they'd send it over a holiday weekend.

  3. I am jealous of all of you :p. As an uninitiated Amazon shopper with a gift certificate in my sweaty hands, I preordered LGD and Talyn on the same order. Now I have to wait for Talyn to be printed before I get either :(. Sigh. A good excuse to read the tons of really good books I have towering over me in my to be read pile I suppose.

La La La. Not Listening. (as you all read, comment and review :p.)

And yes, for a techie, I'm remarkably unsaavy with regards to the WWW :).

    Cheers,
    Margaret

    It sounds great!

I love anything to do with Martial Arts hero's, add hot sex and a mystery/thriller aspect..and I'm in!! Thanks for pointing it out...I do believe I'll order it now. :)

  5. Amazon's funny, Margaret. When you don't care, they'll split the shipment for expediency and zip the thing you're happy to wait for straight to your door. When you really want them to split it, it waits and waits for the order to complete.

  6. Thanks Jean. At least you give me hope. Maybe they'll decide LGD is too important to hold onto :).

Reading it right now and am halfway through. Luckily, it occurred to me to not order it with Talyn at the same time.
