Wishing You

To explain the Easter photo: I went out this morning to water my sweet potato vines by refilling the aquaglobes that I knew would thought were keeping the doves from nesting in the hanging pots. But there was a dove sitting in one. When she saw me she flew off, and when I carefully took down the pot, want to guess what I found?

  1. LOL! That pot was simply meant to be a nest.

    Happy Easter!

    1. I wonder if it's on the dove version of Craigslist. I can just imagine the ad: nice second story DIYer with great landscaping and beautiful glass scultpture. Human caretaker on premises. Rent free!

      Happy Easter, Deb. :)

    1. I'm definitely a bird magnet for some reason. I'm dreaming of the day I become a single childlress octogenerian billionaire magnet, ha.

    1. She did. I went out a couple hours after I rehung the pot and got two pics of her:

  4. She's certainly determined. It's getting around that yours is the best place in town to raise a brood of chicks. ;o)

Happy Easter, Lynn. I hope your day is wonderful.

  5. She is definitely determined! And I had to laugh at the Craigslist comment, but it seems as if that's just the thing. Maybe you should put out more pots and you could run a condo for wayward doves ;o)

DH walked out the side garage door two days ago and got strafed by a duck. Yesterday when I went out, I was going to clean up the area by the door there to get ready for planting and I found Mrs. Duck sitting on a nest. She's tucked under one of my arbor vitae, but still, if the critters get wind of her, the eggs will be gone. I know, it's nature, but I sure wish she'd pick a hanging basket instead.

    Happy Easter, Lynn. :o)
