Blogger & Backyard Drama

At some point since I last logged in Blogger has completely changed their service, drastically altering all of the screens and options I use to post to the blog, and now I haven't the slightest clue as to how to make anything work. I'll just have to fool with it until I figure it out, and hope you guys will hang in there with me until I do.

In the meantime, a photographic update on our latest backyard drama:

Nympho Mama has been sitting on the nest all day and night, but this morning I noticed she had shifted back a bit.

Seems her babies have hatched and are growing up fast.

These doves really are the most devoted parents I've ever observed (and Dad still comes around at least once a day, too; I just haven't yet managed to snap both of them together with the fledglings.)

  2. Doesn't it make you wonder why companies like Blogger have to change things, thinking they're making it better when it only upsets those of us who don't like change? *sigh*

Love the pictures! I was wondering if they'd hatched yet. My duck was off the nest this morning when I let the dogs out. First time! I counted five eggs, but didn't want to get too close since as I approached, I heard a 'quack.' So I just counted what I could see and shooed the dogs back into the house. And I praying every day they hatch and the predators around here don't get them.

  3. Ah, such a pretty thing..and the wee ones, too. Maybe she has an issue with enclosed spaces and just can't bear anything but the wide open.

  4. Love the babies!

Grrr! I hate it when companies decide they know what I want. Blogger has an option to post your feedback to Support about your problems with the new layout. It's in the lower right hand side.(At least on mine it is.) Under Options (that silly little wheel) there is an option to go back to the old version, if that's what you want.

    Good Luck!

  5. I hate the new interface, takes me three clicks to do what one did. Plus I don't read blogs using the follow (I use a stand-alone blog reader) and wish I could just take that off my page.

Then they had to go to white with all pastels....so hard on my old eyes. Grrrr.....
