Boxes and Big Cats

  1. What is it about a cardboard box? And it's not just animals...kids love a good box too.

    1. When our kids were little they would ignore their Christmas and birthday gifts and simply play with the boxes. Sometimes I wondered why we didn't just wrap empty boxes, lol.

  2. My favorite toy as a child - honestly, the *only* toy I remember clearly - was a huge cardboard box. It was a fort, a boat, a cave...

    1. I remember our neighbor once gave us the cardboard box from his new fridge, and we played fort and castle in that all summer.

  3. I love those videos from Big Cat Rescue. We visited there when we were on vacation in Tampa. It's a wonderful organization and taking a tour was a highlight of our trip.

    1. Agreed; it's a place I stop whenever I'm over there, too. They do such great work looking after the cats, and I love all their videos -- fun and educational.

    1. The tigers remind me of Marjorie Liu's Tiger Eye -- obvious, probably, but very cool.

    1. It's so cute how most of them end up curled up in their box. I think that's adorable.
