As some of you know, I've never had a traffic counter or any sort of stealth software on PBW to see who stops in. Well, except for that one time when . . . never mind. Anyway, I think having to know who is reading your blog is the first step toward acquiring that lovely neurotic "What did s/he say about me/my blog/my work?" paranoia writers sometimes get from worrying too much about other people's opinions. I don't write by committee, I don't blog by committee.
Certain powers that be, however, would like to know how many people stop in here in one 24-hour period. They don't like the "Search me" answer I always give, so I've agreed to ask my visitors to ping the blog while they're here. If you don't mind being counted, please leave a ping, your handle, or a Hi in comments to this post (if you're one of my anons, the anonymous comment option has been turned back on for today only.)
Thanks for helping out on this.
Added: I'm closing comments now so the post represents a 24-hour total. Thanks to everyone who pinged. :)
