Finally, a couple of hardcore knitters I actually could hang with.
Be warned before you look, oh ye who knit with much sensitivity. No pattern is sacred. Not even the ones for kids. Or dogs.

hahaha. Coincidentally, I signed up for knitting classes... begining tomorrow. Consider me duly warned. I've bookmarked the site.
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Gawd. Even I, who admits to horrible taste, wouldn't knit this crud.
ReplyDeleteBut, I have fallen in love with aran knitting. It's just so, well, pretty. And you really can't screw up when you are using just one color, can you?
I'll have to post of pic of my current knit project upon completion so that we can all make fun of it together.
The patterns gone wrong on http://threadbared.com/ are also terribly entertaining.
ReplyDeleteOh, so cool! Alison sent me the url, and then it's here, and I love it! The really sad thing is that I can't even knit anything that ugly. I can barely knit scarves. Oh, for a knitting retreat where I could go and learn. But if I can't have that, I'll take the snark.
ReplyDeleteOh, lord. My eyes, my eyes.
ReplyDeleteI mailed the url for that one off to my mother; since she's done some time rewriting instructions for truly awful patterns before they appear in magazines (for which she was surprisingly well paid).
Ok, one thing scares me.
ReplyDeleteBad fashion design.
Happy Halloween, Stardoc.
The rainbow thing is ugly, but I have to disagree with them about the kid's poncho. My girls have similar ones and they love them.
ReplyDeleteAt least the rainbow one doesn't make the wearer look deformed. Not like this:

Which makes the woman look like one breast is bigger than the other.
