Roll with It

I'm off today to deal with the accountant. So that your stop here wasn't entirely wasted, have you ever thought of what you might make out of masking tape and old/discarded objects? You'd be surprised (narrated and with background music, for those of you at work):

Sarah DiNardo. Tape Artist. from gnarly bay productions, Inc. on Vimeo.

  1. Wow definitely a very original way of escapism. Might give it a shot myself but I don't think mine will end up as good as hers. Maybe in time eh?

    1. Watching her roll that tape tempted me to try it, too, Tulisaa. I just don't have the dexterity to manage it.

  2. What a great find on Vimeo! I enjoyed this journey into the private world of a creative artist very much. Many Thanks

  3. What an interesting art form. I love the sticky stuff too, but never would have thought to do what this artist has...

    1. I had a thing for making palm prints with Elmer's glue when I was a kid (you cover your hand with Elmer's glue, let it dry and then try to take it off in one piece.) I loved holding it up to the light to see all the tiny lines transferred from my hand to the glue -- and yeah, probably my oddest childhood hobby.

  4. “Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
    Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.”
