Hiatus

My dad has been very ill for some time, and today he had a stroke that he can't survive. He's not in any pain; the doctors have made him comfortable and he'll be moving to hospice on Monday.

Somehow I have to say goodbye to this amazing man who has been such a wonderful father to me, so I'm going to unplug for a while. Any good thoughts and prayers you can send our way will be much appreciated, especially for my mom.

  31. Lynn, I am so very sorry to hear about your dad. Lately there seems to be so many bright lights dimming in the universe. May you, your mom, and your family find comfort in this trying time. When all seems lost, remember to look at the stars and Let It Be.

You and your family are in my thoughts now and always.

  33. Lynn, I am so sorry. Even when someone is ill for a long time, we don't want to take the time to figure out how to say good-bye, we just keep pushing it off, hoping we never have to. My own father has cancer, and we really don't know how much longer we have with him. I keep thinking, I need to spend more time with him, or find a way to let him know how much we appreciate and love him before our chance is gone... but there is always life that is happening now that gives us the excuse not to. I say, make the most of the time you have left to make it more happy memories to cherish of him when he is gone. That is the only advice I can give and I am keeping you in thoughts and prayers until you plug back in.

    Sincerely,
    ~Sia

    Dear LYnn,
I can only imagine what you are going thru. My Mother passed on 4 years ago from COPD, a devasting disease. Taking care of someone, no matter this illness, is hard on the family.
