One of the ARCs I had reserved for the Forecast: Early Frostfire giveaway back in September remains unclaimed to date, and I've been unable to contact the winner. Rather than let it sit here and gather dust I thought I'd do another drawing for it (if I ever hear from the original winner I'll send a signed first edition as a replacement.)
In comments to this post, name the title of an upcoming release you're looking forward to (or if you're presently in a reading anticipation void, just toss your name in the hat) by midnight EST on Monday, November 29, 2010. I'll pick one name at random from everyone who participates and send the winner the unclaimed Frostfire ARC (which I will sign for you.) This giveaway is open to everyone on the planet, even if you've won something here at PBW in the past.

Something other than yours...
ReplyDeleteKresley Cole's next Immortal after Dark book. Coming out early next year. I already preordered it. :)
Cece Meng's I WILL NOT READ THIS BOOK!, a humorous cliffhanger in which a kid determined NOT to read a book has one misadventure after another until coming to the climactic moment where circumstances compel a change of heart. I saw a preview of the illustrations by a very well known artist, and the book is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to get Last Sacrifice a little under 2 weeks. I'm excited. This book looks good I like the cover!
ReplyDeleteHmm, well I'm really excited about receiving a copy of Anna & The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins! :)
ReplyDeletePlease toss my name in the hat. :3 I'd love to read more of your literary work, and getting a signed copy would totally make the rest of my year!!

Wow, It's hard to reduce this to just one. I am always awaiting the next novel from you, Gena Showalter, Barb Hendee, and Jeaniene Frost.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to "Across the Universe" by Beth Revis. I read the first chapter online over the summer -- been looking forward to it ever since!
ReplyDeleteI'm eagerly awaiting Dakota Cassidy's You Dropped a Blonde on Me, and Beth Revis's Across the Universe.
ReplyDeleteI know, massively different genres, but I read a wide variety. :D
Can't wait for the next offering in Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the Sam Vimes novel Terry pratchett is writing.

That is a GORGEOUS cover! I'm trying to find a new series to fall into so I'll just throw my name into the hat. Thank you for reopening the contest. :)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many. Frostfire is definitely at the top of the list, as is the second edition in the Mark Twain autobiography set. I bought the first on a whim and have ended up buying multiple copies to give as holiday presents. He was an absoultely fascinating man.
ReplyDeleteI have two reward books waiting for Wednesday: JD Robb's Indulgence in Death and Tanya Huff's Truth of Valor.
ReplyDeleteI may even get to then on Tuesday afternoon.
Well, aside from Frostfire, I am also waiting for River Marked by Patricia Briggs. I have to say I hate the waiting!
ReplyDeleteL
Without question: Entice by Carrie Jones.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to "A Dead Reckoning" by Charlaine Harris :-))
ReplyDeleteSusanne
Obviously I'm looking forward to Frostfire since I'm entering this drawing. In addition to that though I'm looking forward to Tawna Fenske's Making Waves.
ReplyDeleteRichelle Mead's Last Sacrifice (the last novel in her Vampire Academy series) tops my list. I am also looking forward to Jim Butcher's Ghost Story (the next installment of the Dresden Files) but I have to wait until April for that one. Damn cliffhangers. . .
ReplyDeleteNo idea what's coming soon, other than more books by Patricia Briggs and Marjorie Liu. I'll just toss my name in the hat.
ReplyDelete"The Captal's Tower" by Melanie Rawn. I've been waiting for I don't know how many years for it to be released. The second book in the Exiles Trilogy was released back in 1997, so a whole lot of her fans have been waiting 13 years for it to arrive. :p I'm fortunately not one of them, or I'd be (even more) insane by now. :p
ReplyDeletemarjorie m liu In the Dark of Dreams
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for awakned by P.C. & Kristen Cast and The last Sacrifice. I am currently reading Spirit Bound.
ReplyDelete- Necole Plummer
Naamah's Blessing, by Jacqueline Carey :)
ReplyDeleteApart from Frostfire I am looking forward to the new Jean Johnson book Finding Destiny. A collection of four novellas, set in the same universe as her Sons of Destiny novels, which is out in the New Year.
ReplyDeleteI am waiting on Patricia Brigg's new book and Marjorie Liu's as well. Frostfire is on my must buy list as well.
ReplyDeleteNalini Singh's Archangels's Consort; and always Kresley Cole and Gena Showalter.
ReplyDeleteEagerly anticipating Frostfire, obviously. ;) The other one is Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead. She had one heck of a cliffhanger in Spirit Bound.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Erin
Blood Challenge by Eileen Wilks is out in January. I'm looking forward to it, in addition to the ones from Liu, Harris, and Briggs.

ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to Ghost Story by Jim Butcher.
ReplyDeleteBesides Frostfire you mean? I'm also looking forward to River Marked by Patricia Briggs, and the next one by JD Robb.
ReplyDeleteemail DragonsRNo1 *at* aol *dot* com
I am waiting for Holly Jacob's new Christmas romance : )
ReplyDeleteHmmm...besides Frostfire's release, I'm looking forward to reading an old book for the first time. Every time I see Silver Bullet, I tell myself I need to buy the book.
ReplyDeleteI finally bought the book: Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King on which the movie is based.
The next big on on my list is Last Sacrifice. Can't wait! Frostfire is also on the must get list. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a huge list but the one I'm holding my breath for is:
ReplyDeleteThe Iron Palace - Morgan Howell
Frostfire, of course and Megan Hart's Precious and Fragile Things.
ReplyDeleteDiana Pharaoh Francis' CRIMSON WIND. Only a few more weeks to wait, and it will be out!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to: "Silver Borne" by Patricia Briggs, "Archangel's Consort" by Nalini Singh, and "Third Blood" by Kalayna Price.
ReplyDelete-- C.S. Cross
Well, it would have to be three: 1-Deadly Vows by Brenda Joyce(have been praying for this one for years)2-Shadowfever by Karen Moning, 3-Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance (Cassandra rocks). There are just so many. I really want Frostfire, too!!!!! Happy writings,
ReplyDeleteDana
Ohhh, Bloodfever by Moning and I also look forward to rereading the Outlander series.

I'm looking forward to Rachel Vincent's YA My Soul to Steal, January 1. It's one of my favorite YA series.
ReplyDeleteThe last two Robert Jordan books. And yes, I know that the Towers of Midnight is technically out - and sitting on my shelf waiting for me - but I'm pretending it's not until after Nanowrimo is over.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to yours but haven't looked at the upcoming new releases yet.
ReplyDeleteJayne Ann Krentz's In Too Deep
ReplyDeleteWell, Faith Hunter's book Mercy Blade is coming out on jan 5th, Jenna Black's Shadowspell, Jess Haine's Taken by the Others, Secrets of the Demon by Diana Rowland and then later that month, Archangel's Consort by Nalini Singh, Rivermarked by Patricia Briggs. I'm really looking forward to all of those books
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the new Nalini Singh book, not out until May 2011! It's going to be a tough few months. :P
ReplyDeleteIt's been so long since I let myself read just for fun that I'm out of the loop and stealing suggestions from the comments here... :)
ReplyDeleteI'm eagerly awaiting the last of the Wheel of Time books. But I've already got several of yours that I've not read to get me through until then. :-)
ReplyDeletePlease enter me! I am on a book-buying ban as it's too close to xmas for spending money on myself. So I can't really say what new release I am most looking forward to.
ReplyDeleteThanks!

Too busy right now for reading but if I win it will be the first!
ReplyDeleteOoh well i have to say that i'm awaiting two book to be released the first is Lynsay Sands Hungry for You, the other would be Richelle Mead's Last Sacrifice. i cant wait to sink my teeth into these books....(*_*)
ReplyDeleteI'm also eagerly awaiting the next Discworld book, as well as the next Kinsey Millhone mystery & your book After Midnight. I'm so glad Pratchett's still writing, so sad that Grafton's almost done w/ Kinsey & so excited that you're finally delving into YA. Next year should be a good release year.
ReplyDeleteEileen Wilks Blood Challenge and Rob Thurman's Blackout
ReplyDeleteI am in an upcoming release void right now, as all the most interesting Icelandic books get published in Sept-Oct in time for the Christmas season, but one I am anticipating for next year is the next Terry Pratchett book, which has the working title of Snuff.
ReplyDeleteAnticipation void. :( Don't have time to follow authors like I used to. Throwing my name in the hat.
ReplyDeletedon't read many upcoming release books but i'd like to be entered!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to A Dance of Dragons by George R. R. Martin.
ReplyDeleteI notice some have left their email addresses. Is that required?
Lynn,
ReplyDeleteWell, I have been waiting for Frostfire since I first saw it's release date. But, I am also eagerly awaiting Karen Marie Moning's conclusion to her Fever Series, Shadow Fever. I love that she, like you, actually concludes a series! Although this series is loosely related to the same world as her Highlander Series, it is definitely it's own series very much like your Darkyn series is related to your Kyndred series. I hope I win the ARC, but if not, that's okay because it's not long to wait!
Tami
Jacksonville
I'm waiting on River Marked by Patricia Briggs and the next Jim or Shannon Butcher book to come out. (It doesn't matter which series, as long as one comes out!)
ReplyDeleteOMG! I would love to win an ARC of your upcoming Frostfire. Looking forward to it. I am also looking forward to Cynthia Eden's Eternal Flame, out tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteTossing my hat in.
ReplyDeleteI love looking through these as it always gives me ideas. :-) Tossing my name in the hat. I am looking forward to the next JD Robb.
ReplyDeleteNot only is this a great opportunity to win an ARC of Frostfire, but now I've got an infusion for my list of recommendations to try - thanks so much. I am (of course)awaiting Frostfire, as well as the new Mercy Thompson, Nicole Peeler's next installment, and the anthology 'Songs of Love & Death'. The latter may be out already, but I must wait until I get it as a gift since it's a big 'ol honking hardback (Fun Fact: "hardback" is book-speak for Expensive).
ReplyDeleteAfter reading the previous comments I think I need to add Ms. Moning to my list.
I won't list yours so I don't sound like a suck-up ... so Karen Marie Moning's final book, Shadowfever, in the Dreamfever series.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to Frostfire(!!), but next on the list would be Nalini Singh's Archangels Consort!
ReplyDeleteOooh boy, lots of yummy stuff to look forward to. Ghost Ship due next August, River Marked due next Jan, Archangel's Consort due next Jan, Lover Unleashed due next March, Tangled Threads due in April, Late Eclipses due in March, Magic Slays due in May, Unforgivable, out tomorrow, One Was a Soldier hopefully out in April after a LONG wait. I love reading these comments, it's a great way to find new authors to read.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm mostly tossing my name into the hat, specially since I have no idea what I'll read next. However, in four days we have a scheduled visit to the biggest comic stores in the country and... well, I love comics :)
ReplyDeletelooking forward to angels consort by nalini singh.
ReplyDeletereese
I'm looking forward to Fuzzy Nation by John Scalzi!
ReplyDeleteI'm very selective about the books that I buy new (since I don't have unlimited funds), but one 2011 release I'm eagerly anticipating is Patricia Briggs's River Marked. The Mercy Thompson and Alpha and Omega books are always on my auto-buy list for two reasons: a) Daniel Dos Santos's incredible cover art (which was what first caught my attention at the bookstore) and b)Patricia Brigg's wonderful world-building.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, the world-building is also what got me hooked on the Darkyn and Kyndred books compared to other books from the same genre.
