Nothing melts your heart quite like watching a bunch of big cats behave like, well, cats (background piano music in this one, for those of you at work):

What is it about a cardboard box? And it's not just animals...kids love a good box too.
ReplyDeleteWhen our kids were little they would ignore their Christmas and birthday gifts and simply play with the boxes. Sometimes I wondered why we didn't just wrap empty boxes, lol.
DeleteMy favorite toy as a child - honestly, the *only* toy I remember clearly - was a huge cardboard box. It was a fort, a boat, a cave...
ReplyDeleteI remember our neighbor once gave us the cardboard box from his new fridge, and we played fort and castle in that all summer.
DeleteI love those videos from Big Cat Rescue. We visited there when we were on vacation in Tampa. It's a wonderful organization and taking a tour was a highlight of our trip.
ReplyDeleteAgreed; it's a place I stop whenever I'm over there, too. They do such great work looking after the cats, and I love all their videos -- fun and educational.
DeleteThe vid made me think of Nalini Singh`s Psy/Changeling books :-))
ReplyDeleteThe tigers remind me of Marjorie Liu's Tiger Eye -- obvious, probably, but very cool.
Deleteloved this. Had to go through and watch all the vids they had up! Nice to see the big cats acting like housecats lol
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute how most of them end up curled up in their box. I think that's adorable.
DeleteHow cool. Thanks for sharing!
