Wow definitely a very original way of escapism. Might give it a shot myself but I don't think mine will end up as good as hers. Maybe in time eh?
ReplyDeleteWatching her roll that tape tempted me to try it, too, Tulisaa. I just don't have the dexterity to manage it.
DeleteWhat a great find on Vimeo! I enjoyed this journey into the private world of a creative artist very much. Many Thanks
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Henri.
DeleteWhat an interesting art form. I love the sticky stuff too, but never would have thought to do what this artist has...
ReplyDeleteI had a thing for making palm prints with Elmer's glue when I was a kid (you cover your hand with Elmer's glue, let it dry and then try to take it off in one piece.) I loved holding it up to the light to see all the tiny lines transferred from my hand to the glue -- and yeah, probably my oddest childhood hobby.
Delete“Simplicity, patience, compassion.
ReplyDeleteThese three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.”
― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
