My guy is a former surfer dude, so that might explain why this is my new favorite Christmas video (also contains music, for those of you who are at work):
This video makes me with I were young and brave! What fun - too bad I live in a place devoid of large waves and mountains. In the spirit of the holidays, you should listen to the song by Colbie Callait "Christmas In the Sand" in which she encounters a surfing Santa Claus. It's very cute. Happy holidays!
Oh wow! I second Lynn M above, I wish I were that young and brave. I don't think I ever was though. My boys loved skateboarding, blade-ing and bmx-ing when they were younger and we actually went to a "Grand Masters of Vert" event in London which was mind blowing. I've seen surfing from a distance but have to say seeing those guys ride in the rollers is "totally awesome dude"...
I need a lot of time to myself. Lots and lots and lots of it. I need to not have to talk to other people at all for many hours, every day. I need the freedom to write and nap and putter outside, and let the stories arrive. I need space to cook and listen to music, and most of all—read, read, read, read, read. I need a lot of reading time, and it feels like nothing, but it’s everything. -- Barbara O'Neal
