I'm bailing on you guys this weekend so I can drive down to see my mom. She's the pretty redhead in this picture:
God, I can't believe that was 26 years ago, or that I voluntarily wore that hat. Anyway, Happy Mother's Day to you moms out there, and I'll see you all on Monday.
My mother's bridesmaids (all 5 of them!) wore the same hat at Mom and Dad's wedding. Except instead of the wide white band, they had pastel bands that matched the rainbow dresses the women wore. Blue, yellow, green and pink chiffon with tiny white dots. Floor length, of course. And the girls carried shasta daisies in white wicker baskets.
When I read a query for a thriller the first thing I consider is the story. The second is whether I think there's a market. The third is whether the author is an asshat. -- Janet Reid

Awww. You both are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your visit with your mom.
Great picture! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm no fashion plate, but I honestly can't see what's wrong with the hat.
Unless it's made from clear plastic. LOL.
Fiddle.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful.
What a beautiful picture. I can just feel how much you love one another.

ReplyDeleteAh, you look beautiful and so does your mom.
Don't feel bad about the hat. I wore a wreath of flowers in my hair. I looked like a margarine commercial. "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature."
Hey! Mushroom girl!
ReplyDeleteSeriously - it suited you. Cool hat.
I wore that same hat in a friend's wedding--about 26 years ago. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are both lovely-- Happy Mother's Day to you both.
Happy Mother's Day. What a great photo of you both.
ReplyDeleteAwww, that's a pretty hat. Nothing to be ashamed of.
ReplyDeleteAnd that picture made me smile, too.
That's a fine hat. Besides, all the guys at the wedding were looking at your bazongas anyway.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day!
I don't see much wrong with the hat, either, PBW.
ReplyDeleteBTW, got my ARC of Dark Need in the mail yesterday. Can't want to read it! Thank you
I would say that the hat was a small price to pay for not having to wear the sort of bridesmaid dress that was common in 1980. You got off easy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day.
You both look lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful picture! Happy Mother's Day to you both!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful day, Lynn.
ReplyDeleteHee.
