After chasing my young one all over the house this morning, (hot on the trail of Easter Bunny clues) I'm going to veg today too - maybe even finish reading "Blind Lake".
Happy Easter!
And I swear, one day, I'm going to write a short story using as many "word verification" words as I can. I particularly liked "Mepriq" today!
I think it will start off with - "There was definitely something wrong with Mepriq" . . .
It would probably end up part Burgess, part Lovecraft - but 20% less Cthulhu and Russian . . .
Leighton's "Flaming June". I only know that because one of my web clients wanted similar colors in her design, and I fell in love with the painting. Gorgeous. Happy Easter!
Amazing. I had not seen this one, but it reminded me so much of my favourite painintg (Leighton's The Last Watch of Hero) that I was not surprised to find that they were by the same artist.
Thank you so much for intorducing more beauty into my life.
I need a lot of time to myself. Lots and lots and lots of it. I need to not have to talk to other people at all for many hours, every day. I need the freedom to write and nap and putter outside, and let the stories arrive. I need space to cook and listen to music, and most of all—read, read, read, read, read. I need a lot of reading time, and it feels like nothing, but it’s everything. -- Barbara O'Neal

I love those Romantic paintings. I'm a bit of a sap that way.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a revelatory Easter. May something you thought dead live again in you today.
Thank you, and Happy Easter to you and your family!
