Lovely Dark

Here's a look at some new cover art for the German edition of Nightshine:

I don't think I've ever had brown cover art, which I know can be a tough color to make look appealing. Unless you're wizards like my German publishers. I have no idea how they made it this gorgeous -- I'm really thinking magic might be involved. I believe the title translates to Look in the Dark, which is pretty canny, considering.

    1. Not me. I think if someone had told me I was getting a brown cover, I'd be afraid to look at it. :)

    1. There is nothing like seeing your work being made available internationally, SuperMom -- especially when I have so many wonderful readers residing all over the globe.

  6. Ditto on "brown".
Not my color, or one I ever found particularly attractive.
But that cover is truly lovely. Somebody really knows what they're doing!

    1. Oh, yes, I think they do. I've had so many spectacular covers from this publisher, but I think this one shows how exceptional they are with the least likely color themes.

  7. I never would have thought brown would be a good color for a cover, but they pulled it off with this one. It actually looks like chocolate and I had this urge to lick the screen (thankfully, I restrained myself).

  8. Strange how the brown look so gorgeous and attractive, when the pink was so wrong! I agree with DK it looks rich and chocolately (not a word but you know what I mean).
