Charlotte Arrives
Nightshine, the fourth and final novel in my Kyndred series, is hitting the shelves nationwide this week.
This is probably one of the most unusual stories I've written in the dark fantasy/paranormal genre, but I had a lot of fun with it. I think those of you who have been following the Kyndred will be pleased with the wrap-up of the series.
A release day is one of the few times I ask my visitors to do something for me. I don't accept advertising or any form of compensation for Paperback Writer, so if you find my blog to be a useful resource, buying my book is a great way to say thanks. If money is tight right now, which I know it is for many of you, you can also show support by requesting a copy of my novel at your local public library.

I LOVE THIS COVER!!! It's on my to-buy-list and I've already requested it at the libraries I visit.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know it was coming out this week! Something else to add to my list!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Lynn!
(and love the cover). :)
Been waiting for the announcement, though we may have preordered it already. I'll have to check.
ReplyDeleteHowever, did I read that right? Wrap-up as in the Kyndred are done? Sigh and hugs all wrapped in one. I don't know how I missed that fact...or maybe I wiped it from my memory.

ReplyDeleteMe, too. It was the first artwork I got with the new editor, and I took it as a favorable omen. Especially as she was open to some suggestions I made about the first incarnation of it. :)

I really appreciate the support, Dawn, thank you.

ReplyDeleteMy bad. Ending a series always depresses me a bit so I think I've been subconsciously avoiding it. But now that it's done I also feel relieved, and I can move on to the new trilogy.
Something else to add to my list! Congrats, Lynn!
Thank you, ma'am. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for investing. :)

Yep. The publisher decided to end the series with this one.

Not like there are a lot of books being published this month, right? Ha.
I have mixed feelings about the Kyndred. My publisher killed the original Darkyn series and then told me to write these books, and the old editor told me how to write them, the art department gave me covers for the first two that were really unattractive and inappropriate, and I spent most of the series writing myself in knots (when I wasn't biting my tongue.) But as a pro you have to compromise, and I am proud of the job I did with this little series, especially under the circumstances.
It's on the list to get at the book store tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteW00t!!! Beautiful cover! Looking forward to the read.
ReplyDeleteI got my loot this morning... I will have to wait until tomorrow to start (have a raid in Lord of the Rings Online tonight, the gaming geezer in me is showing). Can barely wait! Grats on the new release :)

Lynn, you did mention that the Darkyn were being revived, right? I hope it wasn't a dream.

Okay, I can understand those mixed feelings when you put it that way, but you did a great job for your readers, which is why we invest :).
ReplyDeleteAnd who knows...I saw an SF book in the debut slot (from Sara Megibow as agent) so maybe one of your StarDoc world spinoffs can find a footing in the current climate.
Preorded it the minute you talked the first time about it - can´t wait to start reading!
ReplyDeletestill waiting to get my hands on it, should be able to go buy it by next week. I didn't realize it was the last in the kyndred series. :) i'm very excited to read it
