Off to Play

Today I'm bailing on you guys so I can unplug and take the entire day off, as we have a gorgeous new guy in the house:

Cole is a shaded sable Sheltie (Shetland Sheepdog) puppy, and as I went to pick him today from the breeder I discovered that he was born on the very same day we lost our Sheltie Buddy to cancer. I don't know if that's fate or just a remarkable coincidence, but it doesn't matter. We're simply grateful to have found Cole and to welcome him into the family.

See you all tomorrow.

  1. What a cutie! It must be the week for it. We brought home two corgi puppies this week. Voodoo and Viggo. Ah! The joy of housetraining.

  8. Was nice looking pup!

I love shelties. I had two of them, one I rescued about 7 years ago, and the other I had since she was 8 weeks old. Unfortunately, I lost both of them. The rescued one passed 3 months ago. she was about 10 years old when I got her. The other passed two days before Christmas.

I am looking for another sheltie right now. I hope to find as cute as your little guy. Keep us posted on how he is doing.

    Enjoy your new 'baby'.

Aaaaaaw! He's adoreable! As someone who also lost a beloved pet this year, take joy in the new member of the family. It helps to lessen the ache. You should post regular cute puppy pics...

Oh how cute! We're looking to adopt a new cocker here in the next few weeks. We had to put ours down and both me and the DH have been heartbroken ever since.

    So cute.

Cole, congratulations on joining such a loving family.

    I love pupdates.

I was away for the weekend and overjoyed to come home and cuddle my dogs. When I go away for a week, I start missing them like crazy.
