I put together the first version of my e-book challenge cover. It needs some fine tuning, but I think I nailed the title:
Once I have a final version, I'll add it to the sidebar along with a link to the challenge post. I will also be posting regular updates on my progress, and nagging everyone regularly to get going on their stories. I know the challenge deadline is right before NaNoWriMo, but think of it as a warmup.

Cool cover! I posted mine the other day ("Exposed" in sidebar), but I think I might have the font all wrong?
ReplyDeleteSome people think it's no big deal, but I think the right or wrong cover font makes all the difference in the world.
Wait...we have to make a cover, too? *~*
ReplyDeleteMan...I hope my sister's willing to pitch in her art skills.
I've written about 10% of mine, and am thinking about cover concepts.
ReplyDeleteA cover? Ouch, I don't even have photoshop to play around, and I don't know if I can do something with the program that comes with WindowsXP. Nor can I steal the pic of some hot actor because of all those copyright issues. ;)
ReplyDeleteVery Nice!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait. :) I'm going to try and do my own cover too. LOL If not, I have a friend that'll help me out as sometimes I bite off more than I can chew. :)

ReplyDeleteIt's definitely not a requirement for the challenge. I hadn't done an e-book cover in ages, so mine was just for practice & fun.
I make my own book covers: www.nlbelardes.com. Thick White Crust is my e-book contribution... If anyone on this post including Paperback Writer would like a free copy, just email me: nl@nlbelardes.com. So there, my contribution...

Whew, I thought for a second you wanted us to do art. The last time I tried something like that I glued two of my fingers together and had glitter in my eyebrows. Not a pretty picture.
ReplyDeleteGlitter in your eyebrows? Holy crammoli that's a major art piece in itself! If you're not too talented with glitter, try a photo art cover and start taking some quick courses in Photoshop and photography (or learn from the Web) One must learn composition...
