Just Write

ReplyDeleteI found this challenge at just the right time. I've been struggling with prewriting, and this gave me a poke to get into my MC's head. (Mine's a Sally too, oddly enough)

Hey Kit, thanks for joining in -- and lovely to see you here, too. :) Really enjoyed reading what you got with the first draft; your Sally and the world-building have me hooked. Hope you'll continue with it.
DeleteI started this for pretty much the same reason -- I was struggling with starters (as in, got the idea, got the story vaguely outlined in my head, but where/how/with what do I start?) and I thought it would give me a push to just dive in. So far it's worked pretty well, although this week I started In the Leaves in first person and then went back, tossed out a page and rewrote it in third, which worked better for me.
I'll be back with this feature in a couple of weeks, so I hope you'll stop in again when I do and tell us more about Sally and her world.
