I recently found your blog and so I want to both wish you a (late) Happy Valentine's Day but also tell you how much I love your work. I started by reading StarDoc several years ago as a teenager and then anxiously awaited as the other books in the series came out, buying a copy of each. I have everything you've written as S.L. Viehl. The Joren people and Cherijo and Duncan Reever changed my view of the world. Since finding your blog and being astonished by how many books you've written, I've started the Darkyn series. No surprise, I love them too. I know, it's an odd thing to get a love letter from a fan, but when better than Valentine's Day? I love your work. I am inspired by you. Thank you so much for continuing to write.
I need a lot of time to myself. Lots and lots and lots of it. I need to not have to talk to other people at all for many hours, every day. I need the freedom to write and nap and putter outside, and let the stories arrive. I need space to cook and listen to music, and most of all—read, read, read, read, read. I need a lot of reading time, and it feels like nothing, but it’s everything. -- Barbara O'Neal
