Virtual Lineup

As promised, here are my topics for our second annual Left Behind and Loving It virtual workshops:

Practical Pacing
Editing and Revising That Won't Drive You Crazy
Turn Up the Wattage: Story Power
Plotting with Purpose
Seducing vs. Slapping: Self-Promotion Styles and Strategies
Career Writing

As I did last year, I've put together goodie bags to giveaway for each virtual workshop. Each day you'll have a chance to win one of two bags stuffed with books, mags, writer stuff and other surprises.

I've also invited the following writers to join in, and as their virtual workshops go live on their blogs I'll post permalinks to them:

Joely Sue Burkhart is going to expose the real secret to writing a novel.

Gabriele Campell will be discussing how to bring a battle to life on the page.

LJ Cohen already has her workshop rolling -- it's everything you need to know on Using a Wiki to Organize Your Novel.

Rosina Lippi will be doing a series of interrelated workshops on generating and structuring stories plus giveaways; more details are here.

Jordan Summers will be discussing writing outside the traditional boundaries of romance as well as the trials and triumphs of the writer’s journey.

Shiloh Walker will be talking about heat and heart in erotica, and why we need both.

If you all get a chance, please do stop in and talk shop with us.

How cool! Thank you so much for doing this workshop series for those of us unable or unwilling to attend Nationals, Thrillerfest, etc...

All of these sound terrific -- and I can wear my pajamas while participating :)

  2. Thank you! All this good stuff will give me something to look forward to.

From the link to Marjorie Liu's site, she mentions an awesome writing challenge going on (70 Days of Sweat). This will give us practical outlet for all the wonderful tips to come. I signed up so I'll need this kinda stuff to keep me going!

    Thanks, PBW!

  8. Are all those writers missing RWA, too?

This is the first year in a while I haven't felt sorry for myself about not going. Lack of self pity is always a nice change.

And as always thanks for the line up. You're the business, ms pbw.
