Sometimes it can be tough to get into the spirit of the season, especially during online time, so to give my cheer a boost I'm sorting through my holiday bookmarks and trying to visit some old favorites.
I know it's two weeks until Christmas thanks to NORAD's Santa Tracker site, which has a countdown timer on their front page (as well as a whole new look this year.)
Snowday's holiday classic Create Your Own Snowflake site is also back for another holiday season of making virtual snowflakes (quite addictive, too. I can never make just *one* snowflake.)
Every year I make a point to revisit Jacquie Lawson's animated e-card The Snow Dog because it just makes me happy.
What links do you revisit during the holiday season? Please share your favorites in comments.
I don't have any particularly festive links that I visit over the holidays; the links that I visit most are shopping links, like amazon.com. I prefer to celebrate the holiday spirit off the computer.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the Create Your Own Snowflake link, though! It's very fun!
Glad you liked that one, Bailey. I usually make a couple of snowflakes and dedicate them to loved ones I've lost over the years; it's like being able to send my Christmas wishes into the great beyond for them, to let them know I haven't forgotten them. Seems a bit morbid, maybe, but it actually cheers me up.
DeleteI don't actually have a link I visit every year but I think I'll start now with the snow dog. I hesitate to use the word cute but ...!
ReplyDeleteI try to post that link every year, Fran -- I absolutely adore it. :)
