Joel Bukiewicz of Cut Brooklyn explains how he made the leap from fiction writer to knife maker (narrated with a few R-rated words, but beautifully told):
At first this sounded like a strange transition. But it was enlightening to see how he recognised the similarities and differences of writing and knife-making; they are closer than I ever imagined. It is fascinating to hear someone speak about something they love. You can always feel their passion spilling through their words. The whole video was poetic and interesting. I had a look at Made by Hand but was disappointed to see they only have two of these!
