Just keep going. This is just a first draft. You can always fix your mistakes.

This is a wonderful list for testing ideas. I often get sidetracked in the middle of a story too, even if I do know how the story is going to end! I may have to push myself to write that last chapter just to get it out, even if it doesn't end up in the final manuscript.Sarah Macklinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11193821542149389511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-88164973950700412552011-10-02T06:09:39.350-04:002011-10-02T06:09:39.350-04:00I've written climactic scenes before, to spur ...I've written climactic scenes before, to spur me on. That also helps guide me through to the scene.

My biggest problem participating in NaNoWriMo is that I tend to edit as I go. I write a chapter, then go back and reread that chapter the next day, before writing more. I've been avoiding thinking about Nano....Aaack. I've been avoiding thinking about Nano.

I *want* to. I'm fairly certain my kids will want to.

But.

This is the first term I've been back to school since 2004.

It's going to depend on how school is going. And how far ahead I manage to get by Nov. 1. And what I anticipate the second half of the term to be like.

What I do NOT want to do is use Nanowrimo as a way to procrastinate from my classes.

Oh! And I didn't post to thank you for that link of the word & symbol generator - I got too sidetracked playing it - but I wanted to say that I really, REALLY like that link. And I think it will be quite useful... once I don't have classes that come first. :(shawnahttp://tenacitydivine.comnoreply@blogger.com
