I normally turn out around 1000 words per 30 mins, sometimes more, it depends on how well I've planed and crafted the scene/chapter I'm working on. The more I know about what needs to happen, and why the more words I get down. That being said sometimes, even knowing what I want to have happen I end up with half the words, or less. Now I have about 6 days to finish the novel I'm working on. I generally use Wr...I might have to try that timer. I generally use Write or Die. It's a bit different in that it pushes you to keep writing. You can set it for however long you want to and he changed it from its inception so now, it will save your work. It didn't used to.
