It's the place I go when I need someone to talk to and there's no one around (I am disabled and I live alone), or when I start feeling depressed -- writing it out usually derails it before I get too far into what I call the black pit where nothing matters and I'm completely empty emotionally. That's a hard place to get out of. rhrysshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14017379294811397360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-68886667463396723452014-06-21T17:57:46.658-04:002014-06-21T17:57:46.658-04:00travelingtravelingbn100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-22665796796299587782014-06-21T15:21:38.435-04:002014-06-21T15:21:38.435-04:00A gardening journal would be great inspiration for...A gardening journal would be great inspiration for me during the long, cold winter months. It's something I vow to do each year, but then when warmer weather hits, I instead spend all my free time in the garden instead of writing about my few triumphs and my many gardening failures. But if the journal were already there, a gift that I'd feel compelled to use . . . . However, I am going to start my first teaching position this fall and I've already decided that I am going to keep a journal in my classroom so I can write in it at the end of every school day while my teaching experiences are fresh in my mind. I plan to use it as a tool to help me identify patterns in my teaching practice so I can continue to grow stronger as a teacher. Even if I only have time to jot down a sentence or two about something that went really well or something that felt like a complete failure, I think it will be a useful tool for me and will make sure I am not taking all the stress home with me.digillettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01439806613517879373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-81211302839633256862014-06-21T13:22:51.263-04:002014-06-21T13:22:51.263-04:00I'd write about my nephew so I don't forge...I'd write about my nephew so I don't forget what he's like growing up. :)Stare Decisishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08645784732809618183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-57681945265377476962014-06-21T12:11:57.359-04:002014-06-21T12:11:57.359-04:00I'd write about my jiu-jitsu training and prog...I'd write about my jiu-jitsu training and progress :)Rachel Greenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13048590167153841615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-12722935925471566642014-06-21T11:39:50.113-04:002014-06-21T11:39:50.113-04:00Writing about the important milestones, events and...Writing about the important milestones, events and travels. travelerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06191803578622949052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-67204078526093424062014-06-21T11:02:05.155-04:002014-06-21T11:02:05.155-04:00Now that I've moved back home to be with my el...Now that I've moved back home to be with my elderly parents, they're telling me so many great stories of what is was like to live in their European town as children. So many stories of their neighbours, their parents, their siblings and the scrapes they got into. So much family history and local history. I love listening to their stories about my grandparent's (who I never met) harebrained schemes, their failures and successes, the swear words they used and how they washed their faces in the mornings in the cold (swearing and washing went together!) back before there was running water in people's homes. I want to write every detail down so it's never lost, but then I would have to stop listening - and my parents are too good as storytellers for that!<br />Maria M.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-41283411085505340132014-06-21T10:41:05.332-04:002014-06-21T10:41:05.332-04:00I would write about life, books, and travel.I would write about life, books, and travel.petitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05326383614079568432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-16891228768305594562014-06-21T10:22:13.019-04:002014-06-21T10:22:13.019-04:00I'd write about books. Also the reasons I didn't finish a book as I find there are books I put down to do something else, ie answer the phone, and never read again - it might give me some insight into what doesn't work for me as, at the moment, I don't really think about why, I just pick up another story.Jo Owennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-9568784503827984072014-06-21T09:38:46.650-04:002014-06-21T09:38:46.650-04:00Life, art, and smaller things.Life, art, and smaller things.Gail Leinweberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09537849871547472689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343238.post-23709368531067440522014-06-21T09:11:12.073-04:002014-06-21T09:11:12.073-04:00I would write how I would enjoy wrecking another j...I would write how I would enjoy wrecking another journal...or how frustrating teen daughters are.
