It definitely isn't YA material and the magic is pretty complex, but she's obviously thought it out in great detail. I feel the cause and effect and consequences of magic in a modern world are handled really well.<br /><br />Based on your review, "The Between" sounds really intriguing. Admittedly I was only a child at the time, but it was a great book. Its probably time for a re-read.<br /><br />As for L J Cohen's book, I'm glad to have read a review from an adult. I never know about YA, so its good to be given a recommendation.
